Settlements with the defendants LG and Hannstar, in the amounts of $21,200,000 and $2,050,000 respectively, have been approved by the BC, Ontario and Quebec Courts. A second distribution protocol has also been approved.
On October 30th, 2015, the Court approved an amendment to the class definition. This amendment excludes certain persons and starts the limitation period running for those persons. More information is available at www.hydrogenperoxideclassaction.ca.
On July 27, 2015, the Courts in BC, Ontario and Quebec have now certified the polyurethane foam actions against Woodbridge, Vitafoam, Carpenter, FFP/Flexible Foam, Future Foam, Hickory Springs, Leggett & Platt, Mohawk and the Former FXI Individuals for settlement purposes only.
On September 21, 2015, the plaintiffs will apply to the BC Court to approve the settlement agreements, a plan to distribute the settlement funds and class counsel fees of 25% of all settlement funds achieved plus taxes and case expenses.
