This proposed class action alleges that the Province of Manitoba (“Manitoba”) and the City of Winnipeg (“Winnipeg”) (collectively, the “Defendants”) overcharged Class Members in its collection of speeding fines issued by photo radar devices (“Photo Radar Speeding Fines”).


Class Members: All persons in Canada from whom the Province of Manitoba and/or the City of Winnipeg collected fines arising from tickets issued for speeding offences using image capturing enforcement systems (photo radar devices) from November 20, 2017 to November 12, 2021 (the “Class” or “Class Members”).
