Anthropic PBC created a series of AI large language models (LLMs). The plaintiff allege that in training these models, Anthropic PBC unlawfully used copyrighted materials including books authored by Canadian residents.


Proposed Class Members: This action is brought on behalf of all members of a class consisting of the Plaintiff and all natural persons or corporations, resident in Canada, who owned or co-owned the copyright to works used by Anthropic to train one of its various versions of large language models between January 2021 and the present.
