Retired founding partner of CFM, JJ Camp, KC started his distinguished career at Ladner Downs where he spent 24 years practicing primarily in the defence area. He received his QC in 1986. In 1993 he established a practice on the plaintiff’s side which evolved into CFM in 2001 and from which he fully retired in 2020 after practising law for 50 years. His practice on the plaintiff’s side initially concentrated in product liability and aviation cases eventually leading him to be an acclaimed national class action lawyer in one of Canada’s leading class action firms. Along the way, he was inducted into the American College of Trial Lawyers and the International Academy of Trial Lawyers. In addition, he was President of the British Columbia Branch of the Canadian Bar Association in 1986 and became President of the Canadian Bar Association in 1991. During his career, he appeared before the Supreme Court of Canada approximately 15 times. After an extraordinary career, JJ has more than earned the opportunity to put his feet up, sit back and relax.
