PROPOSED SETTLEMENTS
Three proposed settlements have been reached with the following defendants:
(a) Matsuo Electric Co., Ltd. (“Matsuo”) for $1,200,000 ($1,175,000 for Electrolytic Capacitors and $25,000 for Film Capacitors);
(b) Shizuki Electric Co., Inc. and American Shizuki Corporation (collectively “Shizuki”) for $225,000 in for Film Capacitors; and
(c) Rubycon Corporation and Rubycon America Inc. (collectively “Rubycon”) for $7,500,000 ($7,300,000 for Electrolytic Capacitors and $200,000 for Film Capacitors).
The Matsuo and Rubycon settlements are subject to court approval in British Columbia, Ontario, and Quebec. The Shizuki settlement is subject to court approval in Ontario and British Columbia. At these hearings, the Courts will determine whether the settlements are fair, reasonable, and in the best interests of the Settlement Classes.
The settlement hearings will take place at the following dates and times:
(a) Ontario Superior Court of Justice: on April 22, 2025 at 9:00 a.m., by virtual hearing;
(b) British Columbia Supreme Court: on May 7, 2025 at 9:00 a.m., by virtual hearing; and
(c) Superior Court of Quebec: on April 4, 2025 at 9:15 a.m., in-person at 1 Notre Dame Street, Montréal, Québec, court room 17.09 and by virtual hearing.

The deadline to comment or object to the settlement agreements is April 21, 2025. You must send your written submissions to the appropriate lawyers at the addresses listed in the Long Form Notice.
