Microsoft

The Microsoft class action was commenced on behalf of residents of British Columbia who acquired a license for various Microsoft applications and operating system software on or after January 1, 1994 for their own use, and not for further selling or leasing.  It is alleged that Microsoft has engaged in a series of anti-competitive acts which have virtually eliminated competition, allowing Microsoft to charge artificially inflated prices for its software.

Camp Fiorante Matthews was successful in certifying the class action.  See Reasons for Judgment of Mr. Justice Myers, March 15, 2010.
